Jewellery Care
While we'd love you to wear your jewellery as much as possible, there are a few things to keep in mind to ensure the longevity of the piece.
Sterling silver jewellery will naturally oxidise over time, as a result of exposing to the air. Keep your jewellery in the soft pouch provided, or in a box when you are not wearing it. If your jewellery has oxidised, you can

Wear it more!

Wipe it with soft cloth

Soak it in warm water with a sheet of foil, and a spoonful of baking soda, then clean it with a soft tooth brush
For pieces that had special surface treatment, such as oxidised (black) and bleached silver (fine white), please note that over time the finish will change as wearing the piece naturally polishes it. You may notice the piece becomes shiny as a result of skin contact. For bleached silver, it is recommended to store the piece in the sealed pouch provided, as they will tarnish the same way as sterling silver if exposing to the air for prolonged periods of time. Both finishes can be re-applied with a small fee.
For precious pieces with gemstones, please be aware that stones are not indestructible. Some softer stones (such as pearls) require greater level of care.
We advise you to avoid wearing jewellery during:

Physical activities, including exercise and housework

Sleeping

Showering

Applying makeup/perfume
As a general tip, it is always best to put on your jewellery just before leaving the house and take them off the first thing you are back!
